Last Project Handroll and Yaki Bar

A yakitori bar with strong Japanese spirit and bold originality.

The Japanese vibe is done right.

Tucked into a small shop lot slightly off the main Bangsar strip, this yakitori bar channels Japanese influence while maintaining a distinct identity of its own. The respect for Japan is evident throughout — yet the clientele is overwhelmingly local Chinese, which speaks to its popularity as a genuine local favourite.

Reservations are essential — a truly special experience awaits.

Online booking is available, but slots fill up fast — even a few days ahead, many time slots are already gone. The service level is high: the space is small, yet every customer receives attentive care. Staff check in on drinks regularly without being pushy, keeping things pleasant throughout.

The ideal space for a small group on a special occasion.

The price point is on the higher side, but the quality of the space and service is well-suited for a business dinner or celebration. Too small for large groups, but perfect for 2–4 people on a special day. On the night we visited, two birthday parties were happening at nearby tables — the atmosphere was just right.

An impressive drinks list — Japanese sake included.

We finished the beers with a glass of Dassai sparkling sake. More of a special-occasion destination than an everyday local — save it for a treat.
